An unintended downtime

My personal website has been down for a week. And that’s okay. The sun still got up in the morning. The birds still singing. And hopefully that one reader that failed to resolve, got some time back to enjoy the sun and the birds.

So what happened?

Yea. Deciding to upgrade Alpine from 1.23 to 1.24 five minutes before heading out was not the brightest idea. But on the positive side, i got to study how grub boots the linux kernel using efi and understand that part of the system a bit deeper than i did before. And after fixing my grub install, the system boots again.

What will i do to prevent it from happening again?

The answer is. Absolutely nothing. In fact, i would rather tell that person that could not enjoy my website to go touch grass. Listen to birds. And look at flowers.
